Steps to follow to open an Egress Secure Email online
Before you start
Before you can open a secure email, you will need an Egress account. If you haven't yet created an account, you will be prompted to when you first attempt to login.
You will have received an attachment with your secure email which can only be opened if you install the Egress software. It is much simpler to use the "Open secure email" link to review your message.
Opening the secure email
Whenever you are sent a secure email, you will receive a notification email similar to the below in your normal email inbox. To access the message click the Open secure email button.
A webpage will then ask you to sign in or register with Egress. Enter your Egress ID (Email Address) and Password, then Sign In. If you do not have an account, enter the email address of the mailbox where you received your secure email and you will be prompted to create a free account.
- Once you have successfully logged in, your secure email will then display within your web browser. You can then reply to the email by clicking the Reply button at the top of the message.
